Job summary

Cornwall Council is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the SEND Support Service within the Statutory SEN and EOTAS teams. You will assess children and young people and deliver accessible written reports, often within statutory timeframes.

You will collaborate with our OT colleagues to deliver training and work with schools/settings, under supervision. A supportive training culture is emphasised and valued.

Qualifications

• Experienced Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration and relevant SEND experience.
• Ability to assess needs of children/young people and write accessible reports.
• Comfort with statutory SEND processes and collaboration with teams.

Responsibilities

• Assess needs of children and young people, focusing on sensory processing challenges.
• Produce high-quality written reports within statutory timeframes.
• Deliver training with the OT and work with schools/settings and SEND teams.
