Job summary

Cornwall Council is recruiting an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the SEND Support Service. You will assess children and young people, focusing on sensory processing needs, and produce accessible written reports within statutory timeframes.

You will work with our OT colleagues, schools and other SEND teams, with a strong emphasis on training and professional development, under supervision of a qualified OT. This role offers flexible working options and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration required.
• Experience assessing children and young people with sensory processing challenges.
• Ability to write accessible written reports and work within statutory timescales.

Responsibilities

• Assess needs of children/young people related to sensory processing.
• Prepare high quality written reports, including statutory requirements.
• Collaborate with OT, schools/settings and SEND teams; assist in training.
