Job summary

Outwood in Sheffield is seeking a SEND Officer to join our inclusive academy team. You will manage EHCPs/high needs SEND Support plans and supervise ELSA staff, ensuring families and students access appropriate support within statutory frameworks.

You will contribute to staff CPD through the Outwood Institute of Education and collaborate with external agencies to deliver high-quality SEND provision across the academy trust.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and safeguarding guidance.
• Experience managing EHCPs or high needs SEND Support plans.
• Ability to line manage ELSA assistants and Bridge provision.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of EHCPs or high needs SEND Support plans.
• Line manage Bridge provision and ELSA assistants.
• Contribute to CPD offerings for staff.
