Job summary

Outwood Academy Redcar is seeking a SEND Officer to ensure statutory SEND compliance and deliver tailored interventions. The role oversees EHCP reviews, manages Teaching Assistants, and guides staff on differentiation and JCQ Exam Access arrangements.

The post is a term-time plus 15 days, 37 hours weekly, with a competitive salary of £29,775.66 – £31,292.16 and access to LGPS and CPD opportunities. Apply to Helen Murphy, Business Manager.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SEND legislation and Codes of Practice.
• Experience in managing formal documentation and EHCP processes.
• Ability to track data and analyse to identify intervention needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage the formal documentation process, including EHCP Review meetings within statutory timeframes.
• Manage Teaching Assistants and resource deployment for SEND students.
• Develop and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) with robust One Page Profiles.
• Provide training to staff on differentiation strategies.
• Ensure Exam Access Arrangement procedures comply with JCQ Regulations.
