Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is recruiting Locality SEND Navigators to be the first point of contact for families, schools and professionals, coordinating SEND support across education, health and social care. The role focuses on inclusion, early intervention, and improving access to services in the locality.

We seek candidates with SEND experience and knowledge of relevant legislation, strong communication skills and the ability to manage priorities within a collaborative, proactive team.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people with SEND and their families.
• Knowledge of SEND legislation and the Code of Practice.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for families, schools and professionals for SEND support.
• Coordinate multi-agency partnerships to improve inclusion and access to services.
• Use data and insights to inform locality planning and service delivery.
