Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is seeking a Locality SEND Navigator with seven posts to work across education, health and social care, helping families, schools and professionals access the rights support at the right time.

This fixed-term role (37 hours per week) is based at County Hall and supports flexible working. You will contribute to the Experts at Hand model to strengthen inclusion and improve outcomes for children with SEND across the locality.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in health and social care or equivalent, or substantial experience.
• Experience of working with children and young people with SEND and their families.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for families, schools and professionals.
• Coordinate access to rights support across partners.
• Support inclusion and early intervention through the Experts at Hand model.
• Contribute to locality planning using data insights.
