Job summary

Quantum Scholars in Somerset is seeking a dedicated SEND Maths Tutor to provide personalised, one-to-one maths support for a student with additional learning needs in a local, in-person setting.

You will tailor sessions to the learner's goals, adapt for different learning styles, and work with the student's education team and family to monitor progress.

Applicants should have Maths teaching/tutoring experience, safeguarding checks, right to work in the UK, and a professional, patient approach.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or tutoring Maths across secondary level.
• Previous experience working with SEND pupils, ideally one-to-one or small groups.
• Able to adapt Maths lessons for different learning abilities and styles.
• Must be patient, empathetic and capable of building a positive relationship with the student.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• Provide engaging, practical Maths activities and build confidence alongside progress.
• Reliable, consistent and committed to continuity of support.
• Willing to work outside of a traditional school environment.
• Must have right to work in the UK.
