Job summary

Hamilton School in Reading is seeking a highly organised SEND Manager to coordinate administrative and operational SEND processes, supporting EHCP procedures, annual reviews and liaison with families and external agencies.

Working with the SENCO and school team, you will maintain SEND records, provide training to staff, line manage up to four teaching assistants and help drive inclusion across Maiden Erlegh Trust's SEND provision.

Qualifications

  • Experience within SEND, education or a related administrative environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and statutory deadlines.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A commitment to inclusion and supporting students with additional needs.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with school staff, families and external professionals.
  • Confidence using ICT systems, databases and provision mapping tools.

Job description

Are you passionate about making a difference for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Hamilton School is seeking a highly organised, proactive and committed SEND Manager to play a key role in supporting the delivery of effective SEND provision across our school.

Working closely with the SENCO and wider school team, you will coordinate a wide range of SEND processes, including annual reviews, Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) administration, external agency liaison, alternative provision coordination, student support and SEND compliance activities. You will help ensure that students with SEND receive the support they need to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
