Job summary

TeacherActive in Swindon is seeking an experienced and supportive Learning Support Assistant to work with children and young people with SEND in our specialist provision.

You will deliver individualized learning programmes, assist with assessments, remove barriers to learning, and help pupils prepare for return to mainstream or specialist provision where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, SEMH or additional learning needs.
• Previous experience working within a school, alternative provision or similar educational setting.
• A patient, caring and resilient approach to supporting pupils with complex needs.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to adapt learning support to meet individual needs.
• A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to work as part of a supportive team.

Salary: £14.25 - £15.50 per hour
