Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is working with a welcoming school in Basildon, Essex, that supports pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities. The school is looking to appoint a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant to provide support to pupils throughout the school day.

The successful candidate will provide one-to-one and small-group support, assist with differentiated activities and help pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills while working alongside

• Experience working with children, young people or adults with additional needs, ideally within SEND, education, care or support work.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Previous school experience is beneficial; however, candidates with experience in care, support work, healthcare, youth work or other transferable backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
