Reed is recruiting for a passionate SEND Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching across Entry Level 1 to Entry Level 3 programmes at Barra Hall, Uxbridge. The role involves supporting learners with SEND through a varied curriculum including English & Maths Functional Skills, Life and Living Skills, Horticulture, Retail and Employability to help learners gain independence and confidence.

You will work with Learning Support Assistants and teaching staff to create an inclusive learning

Qualifications

• Teaching qualification required (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent).
• Experience teaching learners with SEND.
• Experience delivering Functional Skills English and Maths.
• Strong classroom management and learner engagement skills.
• Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices and differentiated learning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to safeguarding and learner welfare.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging teaching across Entry Level 1 to 3 programmes.
• Teach and embed English & Maths Functional Skills.
• Plan and deliver Life and Living Skills, Employability, Retail, and Horticulture.
• Differentiate activities to meet learner needs and EHCP outcomes.
• Monitor, assess and record learner progress and provide feedback.
• Foster independence, social and employability skills.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment and promote engagement.
• Collaborate with Learning Support Assistants, staff, parents/carers and external professionals.
• Maintain learner records and support quality assurance processes.
• Ensure safeguarding, H&S, equality, diversity and inclusion policies.
