Job summary

The Supply Register is seeking a SEND Learning Support Worker to assist students across Lewisham College, Southwark College and The Higher Education Centre. You will provide personalised support both inside and outside the classroom, helping learners participate fully and develop independence.

Role requires flexibility, a person-centered approach, and collaboration with teaching staff to create a safe, inclusive learning environment for 16–25 year olds. Personal care may be required.

• Comfortable providing personal care when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEND.
• Assist students to access learning across a range of subjects.
• Promote independence, confidence, and personal development.
• Support students with personal care where required.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with students and staff.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and the wider support team.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
