Job summary

Bridge Learning Campus in England is seeking a dedicated SEND Support Assistant to work with secondary students. You will provide in-class support under teacher direction, deliver targeted interventions and help pupils with a range of needs to access learning.

The role offers training and a structured induction, a permanent contract term-time with inset days, and benefits such as paid DBS check, enhanced CPD, and access to staff parking.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with SEND children.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills under guidance of the SENDCo.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children and staff.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support to groups of students under teacher direction.
• Plan and deliver targeted interventions to support pupils' progress, aligned with EHCP provisions.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress in class and interventions.
• Reinforce learning and adapt activities for diverse learners.
• Work with pupils including those with SEND to promote inclusion and positive behaviour.
• Prepare classroom resources and maintain structured learning environments.
• Supervise pupils during transitions and non-classroom times as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and external agencies to support children's development.
• Promote safeguarding in line with school policy and statutory requirements.
• Perform other duties as directed by the SENDCo.
