Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support students with SEND and provide personal care in Berkshire venues. The role focuses on promoting independence, confidence and inclusive learning within college settings.

You will work alongside teachers and support staff, delivering 1:1 and small group assistance, while following safeguarding and health & safety protocols. Immediate start, long-term until the academic year end, with potential for further opportunities.

Qualifications

• Recent experience supporting individuals with learning needs (SEND).
• Experience providing personal care or willingness to undertake personal care duties with training.
• Experience supporting students with ASD, ADHD, MLD, SEMH or physical disabilities is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEND.
• Support students with personal care requirements while maintaining dignity and privacy.
• Assist students with mobility needs and complex learning difficulties.
• Support academic progress, wellbeing and personal development.
• Work with teaching staff to implement learning and personal care plans.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and moving and handling procedures.
