Job summary

Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a Learning Support Assistant Level 2 to provide one to one and intervention support to SEND pupils at a Dudley area primary school. The fixed term contract runs January 2027 to July 2027, for 27.5 hours per week, from 9.00 am to 3.30 pm, during standard term time.

The successful candidate will have an understanding of childhood development, experience of working with SEND pupils, and a commitment to engaging with parents.

Qualifications

• Understanding of childhood development.
• Experience of working with SEND children.
• Ability to engage with parents and families.
• Ability to establish effective relationships with a wide range of people.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and intervention support to SEND pupils.
• Support classroom inclusion and small-group activities.
• Assist with behaviour and learning strategies during lessons.
