Job summary

Bobby Moore Academy on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support scholars with SEND in lessons and beyond, under the direction of the SENCo and subject teachers.

The role is permanent, 39 weeks per year at 37 hours a week, aligning with term-time hours. Enhanced DBS and social media presence checks are required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND
• Willingness to undergo enhanced DBS check
• Willingness to undergo social media presence check
• Pre-employment checks in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning in the classroom under the SENCo and subject teachers
• Provide targeted in-class and out-of-class support to scholars with SEND, including those with an EHCP
• Help the teacher create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment
• Promote inclusion so that all scholars have equal access to learning and development
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in the school
