Job summary

Education Learning Trust seeks a Learning Support Intervention Assistant to provide targeted academic and emotional support to pupils, including 1:1 and small-group work. You will work under the SENDCo and teaching staff to improve outcomes and build learner confidence.

The ideal candidate has experience with children in an educational setting, is patient and proactive, and can follow intervention plans while collaborating with colleagues to support inclusive learning.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational or SEND setting.
• Patience, caring nature and understanding of learners with additional needs.
• Able to follow intervention plans effectively and adapt to changing needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist and supplement teaching staff to support students with learning difficulties and access to the curriculum.
• Help ensure lesson aims are achieved for students on the SEND Register.
• Promote an inclusive school culture and safeguard the well-being of students with SEND.
• Move with students around the school as needed to ensure safety.
