SEND Teaching Assistant

8:30AM-3:30PM

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our vibrant school in Ealing. Your role will include working with a named child in Year 3 who has ASD, ADHD, and challenging behaviour. We are looking for someone who is firm, flexible, and strong in behaviour management. Key Responsibilities of SEND Teaching Assistant (TA)

  • Collaborate with teachers to create tailored learning plans that address the needs of each student. Regularly review and adjust these plans to ensure effectiveness.
  • Offer individual and small group interventions to support students' knowledge and skills development using evidence-based strategies.
  • Teach and reinforce study techniques, encouraging engagement and modelling appropriate behaviour.
  • Work alongside teachers to implement inclusive learning strategies and address learning challenges.
  • Maintain detailed records of progress and interventions, providing updates to relevant parties.
  • Collaborate with professionals like counsellors and social workers to support students' broader needs.

Requirements

  • Degree with 2:2 classification (preferred)
  • Experience as a SEND Teaching Assistant or in a similar SEN role, especially with ASD and ADHD
  • Strong behaviour management strategies
  • Passion for supporting students with SEND
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education (desirable)
