ROLE SUMMARY:

The Learning Support department aims to create an environment where every student can thrive as confident and independent individuals. The department supports students with various SEND, collaborating with teachers, parents, and the wider community to provide inclusive academic guidance, ensuring the best outcomes for learners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Adopt effective strategies to support teaching and learning, including for students with SEND.
• Encourage participation in learning and extracurricular activities for all pupils.
• Assist in assessment and monitoring of pupil progress.
• Communicate effectively with staff, pupils, and parents under the guidance of teachers.
• Ensure pupil safety and wellbeing, following safeguarding policies.
• Reflect on personal practice and pursue professional development.
• Provide feedback to parents about pupil progress as directed.
• Review lesson plans and support curriculum delivery.
• Maintain good behaviour and discipline in the classroom.
