ROLE SUMMARY:

The Learning Support department aims to create an environment where every student can thrive as confident and independent individuals. We celebrate neurodiversity and recognize the value of diverse perspectives. The department supports students with various SEND, collaborating with teachers, parents, and the wider community to provide inclusive academic guidance, ensuring the best outcomes for learners.

We maintain an open-door policy for advice and support, encouraging communication with families to foster positive outcomes.

Wetherby Senior School, founded in 2015 and part of Inspired Education, has approximately 450 boys, all studying at least one language for five years. Our students achieve top grades and university placements in the UK and abroad, including Cambridge, LSE, Imperial, Chicago, UPenn, and Bocconi.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Adopt effective strategies to support teaching and learning, including for students with SEND.
  • Encourage participation in learning and extracurricular activities for all pupils.
  • Assist in assessment and monitoring of pupil progress.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, pupils, and parents under the guidance of teachers.
  • Ensure pupil safety and wellbeing, following safeguarding policies.
  • Reflect on personal practice and pursue professional development.
  • Provide feedback to parents about pupil progress as directed.
  • Review lesson plans and support curriculum delivery.
  • Maintain good behaviour and discipline in the classroom.
