Job summary

Nottingham Girls’ Academy is seeking a dedicated SEND Learning Mentor to deliver targeted interventions for students with additional needs. You will support academic, emotional and social development, monitor progress and adapt strategies to meet individual pupil needs.

The successful candidate will work within our SEND team to raise attainment, confidence and wellbeing across a single-sex academy of over 900 pupils in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and delivering targeted interventions to support academic, emotional and social development.
• Understanding barriers to learning (SEMH, ASD, EAL, literacy) and adapting interventions.
• ELSA training or experience delivering emotional literacy and wellbeing interventions.
• Experience using evidence-based strategies to raise attainment and confidence.
• Ability to engage constructively with a wide range of young people from different backgrounds.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted interventions to pupils with additional needs.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of interventions on progress and engagement.
• Collaborate with tutors and SEND team to tailor support for individuals.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to safeguarding and wellbeing initiatives.
