Dovetail and Slate is seeking an experienced English Teacher to join a specialist education setting in the North West. You will plan and deliver engaging English lessons, adapting to learners with SEND and SEMH needs, helping them progress toward English qualifications.

You'll work closely with colleagues and support staff to monitor progress, differentiate for diverse abilities, and promote positive behaviour, attendance and engagement across the cohort.

Qualifikationen

• Strong English knowledge and subject expertise.
• Recognised teaching qualification such as QTS, QTLS, PGCE, Cert Ed or DET.
• Experience teaching English, GCSE and/or Functional Skills.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to differentiate effectively for individual learner needs.
• Passionate, resilient and learner-focused approach.

About the Role

An education provider in the North West is recruiting an English Teacher to join a setting supporting young people with SEND and SEMH needs. You'll plan and deliver engaging English lessons, adapting your teaching to meet the needs of learners working across a range of abilities.

Working closely with colleagues and specialist support staff, you'll help learners build confidence, communication and progression skills, supporting them towards their English qualifications while promoting positive behaviour, attendance and engagement.

Your responsibilities will include:

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Strong English subject knowledge
• A recognised teaching qualification such as QTS, QTLS, PGCE, Cert Ed or DET

Desirable (but not essential):

• Experience working with SEND, SEMH, alternative provision or specialist education
