Job summary

Essex County Council is seeking a SEND Engagement Facilitator to support sustainable inclusion for children and young people with SEND. You will work with educational settings, families and partners to enable One Planning and ensure a joined‑up approach across EHCP processes, particularly during transitions for CYP.

The role is fixed-term until 31 March 2028, with a Community-based working style in North Essex, and requires a current, unrestricted right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• RQF Level 3 qualification or equivalent by experience.
• Thorough knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice 2015.
• Experience working with young people with SEND and extensive stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted intervention to families and professionals at points of change, challenge and transition.
• Model enabling, collaborative, person-centred ways of working.
• Gather, record and share information to inform planning for CYP.
• Promote shared understanding of aspirations and required provision for CYP.
• Develop understanding and participation in assessment, planning and decision-making processes.
