Job summary

Essex County Council is seeking a SEND Engagement Facilitator to support inclusion for children and young people with SEND. The role involves targeted work with educational settings, families and partners, facilitating One Planning, EHCP reviews and collaborative planning across the 0-25 pathway.

The post requires a Level 3 qualification (RQF) or equivalent, and extensive experience with SEND in school or home settings.

Qualifications

Ability to work autonomously and make key decisions regarding next steps for a child/family.
Thorough knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and its day-to-day impact on planning.
Experience working with children with SEND in school or home settings.
Experience partnering with families and professionals in multi-agency environments.

Responsibilities

Provide targeted intervention to families and professionals at points of change.
Model collaborative and person-centred ways of working to ensure pupil and family voices are central.
Gather, record and share information to inform planning for CYP.
Support partnership between settings, families and stakeholders for shared understanding of needs and provision.
Work with CYP and families to coproduce plans and decisions.
Promote good One Planning practice across teams and quadrants.
