Job summary

The Rainbow is seeking an exceptional EHCP Co‑Ordinator to cover a maternity leave at Richmond Hill Academy's Rainbow Base. You will oversee Education, Health and Care Plans, attendance, safeguarding and multi‑agency collaboration to secure the best outcomes for children with SEND.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and a commitment to supporting families and professionals. You will work with families, staff, authorities and partners to develop outstanding provision for pupils

Qualifications

• Significant experience of supporting children and young people with SEND.
• Excellent knowledge of EHCP processes, safeguarding and multi‑agency working.
• Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills.
• Commitment to achieving the best outcomes for pupils and families.
• Ability to build supportive yet challenging relationships with parents and professionals; numeracy/literacy GCSE equivalent.
• Knowledge of SEND legislation including the 2014/2015 acts and related precedents.
• Knowledge of the EHCP assessment process.
• Energetic, enthusiastic and humorous approach to teamwork.
• Good understanding of child development and social-emotional health needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and related processes.
• Coordinate attendance, safeguarding and family support across multi‑agency partners.
• Lead and develop Rainbow Base’s provision and multi‑agency collaboration.
• Build constructive yet challenging relationships with parents and professionals.
