Job summary

Keys Education is seeking an Education Support Worker for Mynydd Haf School in Trethomas, Caerphilly. The role supports teaching and learning for pupils with complex needs, assisting with curriculum-based activities in the classroom, home tuition and outreach.

The role emphasises behaviour management, reporting progress to staff and parents, and contributing to a nurturing environment. A Level 3 TA qualification is advantageous and at least two years’ SEND experience is required.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience minimum working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision.
• A Level 3 TA qualification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, support and inspire learners with curriculum-based learning in classroom, home tuition and outreach and through outdoor activities.
• Assist with preparation of learning material and contribute to the delivery of learning objectives with a strong focus on behavioural management.
• Report daily on learners’ progress and barriers to learning.
• Interact with parents/caregivers regularly.
