Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a nurturing SEND school in Telford. You will support pupils with diverse needs, delivering pre-set activities and maintaining an engaging, inclusive classroom environment.

The role emphasizes wellbeing, personalised learning and strong relationships, with opportunities for CPD and staff development within a supportive trust and school community.

Qualifications

• Experience in education, SEND, care, youth work, or related settings is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication, behaviour management, and relationship-building skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during short-term teacher absences, keeping pupils engaged and supported.
• Deliver pre-set learning activities while adapting support to meet SEND needs.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and encourage confidence, participation and independence.
• Promote a calm, safe, inclusive learning environment through positive behaviour support strategies.
• Act as a consistent and encouraging role model across the school.
