Protocol Education are recruiting a Cover Supervisor to join a nurturing SEND school in Telford. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with additional needs in a setting that places wellbeing, personalised learning, and positive relationships at the heart of everything they do.

Qualifications

• Experience in education, SEND, care, youth work, or related settings is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication, behaviour management, and relationship-building skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring pupils remain engaged and supported.
• Deliver pre-set learning activities while adapting support to meet individual SEND needs.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and encourage confidence, participation, and independence.
• Promote a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment through positive behaviour support strategies.
• Act as a consistent and encouraging role model for students across the school.

The school is now seeking a dedicated and compassionate Cover Supervisor to join their team and support high-quality teaching and learning across the school.

Qualifications

Experience working within education, SEND, care, youth work, or related settings is desirable but not essential. Strong communication, behaviour management, and relationship-building skills are essential.

Ideal Candidate

• Passionate about supporting children and young people with SEND.
• Confident managing behaviour in a calm, patient, and positive manner.
• Able to motivate and engage pupils with a range of additional learning and communication needs.
• Enthusiastic, resilient, and committed to creating an inclusive learning environment.
• Previous experience working with children or young people in education, SEND, care, or support settings is beneficial but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
