Job summary

Ravenswood School in Nailsea, Somerset, is seeking a SEND Class Teacher on a fixed-term maternity cover contract to start January 2027 or sooner. The role is full-time at Ravenswood, an all-age special school catering to pupils with complex needs, including autism and anxiety. The post offers a SEN allowance on top of the TMS/UPS scale.

You will join a compassionate, supportive team dedicated to enabling pupils to dream big and achieve their best. DBS and safeguarding checks apply.

Qualifications

We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and exceptional teacher to join our team and support our amazing pupils on a fixed-term maternity cover contract, for one year or until the post holder returns if sooner, ideally starting January 2027 or sooner if possible. Ravenswood School is an all-age Special School for children with complex needs and SLD. Many of our pupils have autism, ADHD or attachment difficulties. In June 2023, Ofsted confirmed that Ravenswood continues to be a good school, one that is inclusive and has high aspirations for all its pupils.
