Job summary

Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council is recruiting 6 SEND Caseworkers to join our ambitious team. You will lead high-quality statutory SEND services, coordinate EHC assessments and develop person-centred plans to support children and young people up to age 25.

You will work closely with families, schools, health professionals and partner agencies, ensuring compliant practice, excellent communication and a supportive journey through SEND, while we offer flexible working options and a welcoming,

Qualifications

• Experience delivering SEND statutory services for children and young people.
• Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and the SEND Code of Practice.
• Excellent communicator with ability to build relationships across services.
• Ability to manage a complex caseload and work collaboratively with professionals.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Education, Health and Care (EHC) assessments.
• Develop person-centred EHC Plans to support outcomes from birth to 25.
• Work with families, schools, health professionals and partner agencies.
• Contribute to delivering high-quality statutory SEND services.
