Job summary

Hull City Council is seeking a SEND Caseworker to coordinate and manage Education Health and Care (EHC) processes for children and young people with SEND, ensuring timely, person-centred support and effective multi-agency collaboration.

Role involves drafting EHCPs, coordinating annual reviews, and liaising with families, schools and professionals to secure appropriate resources and placements. DBS clearance required; salary £33,673–£36,581 per year.

Responsibilities

• Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people throughout the SEND process.
• Manage a defined EHC caseload within statutory timescales, including transition planning for young people.
• Collaborate with parents, families and professionals to draft and finalise EHCPs.
