Job summary

Liverpool City Council is seeking a SEND Casework Officer to support pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans. You will manage a caseload under assessment and review, ensuring placements comply with SEND laws and timescales, and act as the main contact for families.

You will work with other agencies in multi-agency teams, use IT systems including Microsoft Office, and apply mediation and negotiation skills to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage caseloads under statutory timescales.
• Strong mediation and negotiation skills.
• Experience of working with families and professionals within a multi-agency setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of SEND/EHC cases under assessment and review.
• Provide excellent customer service to families as the first point of contact.
• Work in partnership with other agencies to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.
• Adhere to statutory timescales and deadlines.
• Utilise IT systems including Microsoft Office for case management.
