Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking committed Behaviour Mentors and support assistants to help pupils with behavioural challenges in Newcastle secondary schools. You will collaborate with the SENCo and staff to deliver targeted interventions promoting emotional regulation and positive behaviour.

Roles include 1:1 and small group support, with opportunities for short- and long-term placements, covering Middlesbrough and surrounding areas. Competitive daily rates and access to CPD are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs.
• Confidence in delivering structured behavioural support.
• Calm, patient and professional under pressure.
• Ability to adapt support strategies to meet individual pupil needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver short term behaviour interventions to identified pupils.
• Provide consistent 1:1 and small group support.
• Assist pupils in developing positive behaviour strategies.
• Work collaboratively with SEN and pastoral teams.
• Follow whole school behaviour and safeguarding protocols.
