Job description

Aspire People are currently seeking dedicated Autism Specialist support staff for a Primary school in the Northfield area.

This role involves 1-1 support with a Primary Child with Autism. We require Learning Support Assistants who can develop and nurture positive relationships.

To succeed in this role, you should have an empathetic nature, resilience, and the ability to use your initiative. Health and safety procedures and the welfare of the children are paramount.

Previous experience is advantageous, as the role requires patience and understanding. However, if you have a passion for helping children with additional needs but lack experience, we are open to considering your application on an individual basis.

Aspire People is dedicated to improving the education of SEND children across Birmingham, supporting local Special Needs Schools in finding suitable staff to meet their community's needs. We pride ourselves on being an ethical supply agency, delivering quality service to both clients and candidates.

Minimum requirements for consideration include:

  1. Ideally, a qualification in Support Teaching and Learning (not essential)
  2. An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
  3. Experience supporting pupils with SEND (desirable)
