Job summary

Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust is seeking an Apprenticeship Learner Support Lead to support learners on our in-house and provider-led apprenticeships. The post-holder will focus on SEND support for apprentices and work with the Apprenticeships Team to implement inclusive practices.

The role requires building individual support plans, managing referrals for assessments, and coordinating funding applications, with opportunities to influence inclusion processes within a large NHS trust.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEND support within education or apprenticeship settings.
• Ability to create individualised support plans for diverse learner needs.
• Knowledge of learning support funding (LSF) and funding applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one learner support and maintain robust documentation.
• Identify learner needs and use referral pathways for assessments.
• Review SEND evidence and progress external assessments and funding applications.
• Liaise with line managers and educators to progress inclusion strategy.
• Own SEND support for apprentices and help shape new processes.
