Job summary

Keys Children is seeking SEND-focused tutors with QTS to deliver one-to-one tutoring across Essex and surrounding areas. You will work with vulnerable young people aged 5–16, delivering sessions in English, Maths and life skills, in homes, community venues, or other learning environments.

Flexibility is offered with zero-hours/self-employed contracts and a minimum commitment of 2 days per week. Competitive pay ranges from £15 to £40 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• QTS is essential and UK curriculum delivery experience is required.
• Experience supporting learners with SEND (SEN).
• Ability to manage behaviour and motivate learners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored one-to-one sessions in English, Maths and life skills.
• Plan and adapt lessons to individual needs and abilities.
• Build trusted relationships to encourage engagement and progress.
• Support learners aged 5–16 with SEND needs in various settings.
• Complete session reports and progress updates after each visit.
• Travel across the local area to deliver sessions.
