Job summary

Keys is recruiting for SEND & Alternative Provision Tutors with QTS across Suffolk and surrounding areas to support children and young people who are unable to access mainstream education. You’ll work with vulnerable learners one-to-one, helping them re-engage with learning, build confidence, and achieve positive outcomes in a calm, supportive setting.

Qualifications

• QTS is essential and UK curriculum delivery experience.
• SEND knowledge including ASD/ADHD and SEMH.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Enhanced DBS checks or willingness to obtain one; references.
• Flexible contract types and availability to work across local areas.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored one-to-one sessions in English, Maths, life skills, and other agreed areas of learning.
• Plan and adapt lessons based on the individual needs, interests, and abilities of each learner.
• Build positive and trusting relationships that encourage engagement and progress.
• Support learners aged 5-16 with a range of educational, social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
• Deliver sessions within community settings or learners' homes; travel across the local area.
• Complete session reports and progress updates following each visit.
