The school is proud of its inclusive ethos, strong pastoral systems, and its unwavering commitment to ensuring that every student, regardless of need, receives the support they require to succeed. • Developing and implementing whole-school SEND policy in line with current legislation

  • Working closely with parents and carers to ensure positive relationships and communication

  • Monitoring and tracking progress of SEND students and delivering intervention strategies

  • Leading a team of teaching assistants and providing regular performance reviews

  • Supporting the wider pastoral care systems of the school

The ideal SENCO will:

  • Hold QTS and the National Award for SEN Coordination (or be working towards it)

  • Have strong experience supporting students with a wide range of SEND

  • Be an excellent communicator and team leader with high levels of empathy and resilience
