Job summary

Remedy Tutoring is seeking an experienced SEN Tutor to support children in Coulsdon and surrounding areas. You will deliver personalised tuition across core subjects (English, Maths, Science) and tailor lessons to individual learning needs, building strong relationships with students and parents.

Travel between home, library, and school settings is expected. The role requires at least 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience, PGCE or QTS, and a full driving licence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' teaching or tutoring experience.
• PGCE or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience working with children and young people with SEN.
• Full driving licence and access to reliable transport.
• Flexibility to deliver tuition in home, library and school settings.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and professionals.
• Patient, empathetic and adaptable teaching approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored tuition across core subjects (English, Maths, Science) based on student needs.
• Plan and deliver engaging, targeted lessons.
• Support students with SEN and adapt to learning difficulties and barriers.
• Build positive relationships to boost engagement and confidence.
• Monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet goals.
• Provide a patient, structured learning environment.
• Deliver tuition in homes, libraries, or schools as required.
