Job summary

Remedy Tutoring is seeking an experienced SEN Tutor to support children and young people across South London and surrounding areas. You will deliver personalised one-to-one tuition tailored to individual needs and learning targets.

The role covers English, Maths and Science where qualified, with a focus on SEN such as autism, ADHD and dyslexia. You will adapt lessons, use visual resources, and build confidence as students make meaningful progress.

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching or tutoring experience, preferably with SEN
• PGCE or QTS desirable
• Experience supporting children and young people with additional learning needs
• Ability to adapt teaching to individual needs
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Full driving licence and access to transport desirable

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised one-to-one tuition tailored to each student's needs
• Support students across English, Maths and Science depending on qualifications
• Work with students with SEN including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, SEMH
• Adapt lessons to support students working below age-related expectations
• Use engaging resources, structured routines and differentiated materials
• Break learning into manageable steps with repetition and consolidation
• Build positive relationships with students
• Monitor progress and adapt teaching approaches
• Collaborate with parents, carers, schools and professionals
• Deliver tuition in homes, libraries and school environments
