Job summary

TP Tutors seeks committed SEN Tutors to deliver high-quality one-to-one tuition to primary and secondary learners in Sherborne and surrounding areas. Roles cover SEN/SEND and mainstream students, with pay of £25-£30 per hour and flexible part-time or full-time opportunities in schools, community settings or learners' homes.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Experience in teaching, tutoring, mentoring or education.
• Experience supporting SEN/SEND and/or mainstream learners.
• Good safeguarding understanding.
• Ability to travel across Sherborne and surrounding areas.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structured and engaging one-to-one sessions.
• Adapt teaching approaches to individual requirements.
• Support primary and secondary students.
• Provide tuition to SEN/SEND and mainstream learners.
• Help students strengthen their academic skills.
• Encourage confidence, motivation and independence.
• Monitor and document learner progress.
• Work positively with schools, families and other professionals.
