Job summary

Teaching Personnel is expanding its SEN tutoring network in Kent, offering flexible part-time and full-time opportunities. You will provide one-to-one tuition exclusively to primary and secondary SEN learners, travelling across Kent to schools, homes, or community settings.

Applicants should have SEN/SEND experience, a background in teaching or tutoring, and a strong safeguarding mindset. You will monitor progress, adapt sessions to needs, and build relationships with families and schools.

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEN/SEND children or young people.
• Experience in teaching, tutoring, mentoring or education.
• Experience in mainstream and/or specialist SEN settings.
• Strong safeguarding and child protection understanding.
• Ability to travel across Kent.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored one-to-one tuition for SEN students.
• Plan and adapt sessions around individual needs.
• Support learners across primary and/or secondary education.
• Develop academic skills, confidence and independence.
• Monitor, assess and record progress.
• Build constructive relationships with families, schools and other professionals.
• Promote a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
