Job summary

Rikama Education in Margate is seeking experienced SEN Tutors to deliver structured 1:1 tuition for Children and Young People with SEND, typically 10-20 hours per week, at home or online. You will work with EHCPs, adapting lessons to meet individual goals and report progress to families and Kent County Council as required.

Qualified teachers with QTS/QTLS or substantial SEN tutoring experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• QTS/QTLS or substantial SEN tutoring experience.
• Experience delivering 1:1 tuition.
• Strong behaviour management and differentiation.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Deliver structured 1:1 SEN tuition in Margate (typically home-based provision).
• Support CYP with EHCPs and complex needs.
• Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual learning goals.
• Build relationships with pupils and parents.
• Provide progress reports in line with Kent County Council requirements.
