Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a patient and engaging SEN Tutor to support pupils with special educational needs in the Burnley area. You will provide one-to-one learning support, create tailored plans, and monitor progress in collaboration with families.

The role is part-time and based on school hours, with flexible timings. A DBS and right to work in the UK are required, and you will submit weekly progress reports to Prospero. Experience with SEND or disengaged learners is essential.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience.
• Possess UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential.
• Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box.
• Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1 to 1 SEN tutoring and support to pupils in Burnley.
• Create and deliver learning plans tailored to each pupil.
• Monitor progress and submit weekly reports to Prospero.
• Support pupils to re-engage and return to educational settings.
