Job summary

Prospero Teaching are partnering with Local Councils, SEN teams and Schools across the UK to provide SEN tutors in the South Durham area. This role focuses on 1:1 or small group tuition.You will plan, deliver tailored lessons, monitor progress with weekly reports, and work flexible hours (6-15 hours per week per pupil) in home, community learning hubs.Suitable candidates may be experienced tutors or teachers with SEN experience and UK right to work.

Qualifications

• UK classroom teaching experience is required.
• Experience with SEN and learning difficulties is preferred.
• Must be creative, patient and adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 or small group tuition focusing on building confidence and life skills.
• Develop and implement personalised lesson plans addressing individual learning gaps.
• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to students and families.
• Create a supportive learning environment to rebuild confidence in learning.
• Complete daily attendance and weekly reports.
