Job summary

Quantum Scholars seeks dedicated SEN Tutors to provide 1:1 tuition to young people in Weston-super-Mare and surrounding areas. You will tailor support for English, Maths and Science and work with learners who may be in Alternative Provision.

Experience with SEN/SEND, DBS clearance and the right to work in the UK are important. The role offers flexible opportunities and ongoing consultant support from Quantum Scholars.

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEN/SEND learners.
• Able to deliver English, Maths and/or Science to 1:1 learners.
• Experience in Alternative Provision, EOTAS, or similar settings.
• Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with young people.
• Patient, understanding and adaptable in approach.
• Willingness to obtain Enhanced DBS.
• Have right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 support to learners outside mainstream settings.
• Support academic, social and emotional development.
• Engage learners and encourage continued participation in learning.
