Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking dedicated SEN Tutors to provide one-to-one tuition for primary and secondary learners in East Grinstead and surrounding areas.

You will support SEN/SEND and mainstream students, helping learners develop academic skills, confidence and independence through tailored lessons. You’ll work flexible hours with pay of £20–£25 per hour, delivered in schools, community settings or learners’ homes.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Previous teaching, tutoring, mentoring or education experience.
• Experience supporting SEN/SEND and/or mainstream learners.
• Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
• Ability to travel across East Grinstead and surrounding areas.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivering personalised one-to-one tuition.
• Adapting lessons to suit individual abilities and needs.
• Supporting primary and secondary students.
• Working with SEN/SEND and mainstream learners.
• Developing subject knowledge, confidence and independence.
• Monitoring and recording progress.
• Building strong relationships with learners, families and schools.
• Working collaboratively with other professionals where appropriate.
