Job summary

Connex Education in Doncaster is seeking a SEN Tutor to deliver personalised 1:1 tutoring to students with SEN needs, either at home or in school, with flexible hours. The role offers part-time or full-time options and requires experience with SEMH/SEN, safeguarding knowledge, and a patient, empathetic approach.

You'll collaborate with parents and professionals to support learning and well-being, using a multi-sensory approach to teaching.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH/SEN needs.
  • Ability to build rapport and motivate students with varying engagement levels.
  • Strong safeguarding and confidentiality knowledge.
  • Patience and empathy with the ability to adapt teaching methods.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or support work.

Job description

Role:SEN Tutor
Location: Face-to-Face, in Home or School, Doncaster
Hours: Monday to Friday, Flexible Hours
Contract: Part-Time/Full-Time Options Available

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver personalised 1:1 tutoring sessions to students with SEN needs, ensuring engagement and progress in their learning.
  • Develop and adapt lesson plans to suit individual learning styles and needs.
  • Support students’ social and emotional development alongside their academic progress.
  • Create a safe, supportive, and encouraging learning environment.
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure cohesive support.
  • Multi-sensory approach to learning.
Requirements:
