Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a passionate SEN Tutor to provide tailored one-to-one lessons in Wythenshawe. This part-time role offers flexible hours, allowing you to make a meaningful impact on students with special educational needs.

You will work with students to enhance their learning experience, encouraging confidence and engagement in their studies. Candidates should have a minimum of 1 year teaching experience and preferably hold a PGCE or QTS.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring.
• Experience working with learners with SEN in individual or small group settings.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undertake one.

Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience)

Job Type: Part‑Time Flexible Hours September Start

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEN.
• Adapt lesson content and pace to support different learning styles and educational needs.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with students to create a supportive and safe learning environment.
• Support students in developing subject knowledge, confidence, and engagement with learning.
• Track and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to parents, carers, schools, or professionals as necessary.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring.
• Experience working with learners with SEN, either in a one-to-one or small group setting.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).

Desirable Qualifications

• PGCE and/or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience working with students who have Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or other additional needs.
