Job summary

Randstad Education is recruiting for a SEN Trainee Teacher at an independent specialist school in Horsham, supporting pupils aged 4-19 with Autism. The role offers a permanent set-up with potential for full- or part-time hours (minimum 3 days for part-time).

Training begins from day one, progressing from 1:1 TA to teaching responsibilities over 1–2 years. The school provides a warm, inclusive environment, with refurbished classrooms, therapy and sensory rooms, and a supportive senior leadership

Qualifications

• Creative, friendly and resilient individual who is committed to supporting learners with SEN
• Experience working or volunteering with children or young adults (desirable)
• GCSEs Maths and English or equivalent
• Eligibility to work in the UK

Responsibilities

• In this role as Trainee Teacher; your role will be to provide high quality, challenging and differentiated educational activities and sensory experiences through the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum to small groups on a 1;1 basis.
• This role is open to receiving applications over the next two weeks. Within a week of the closing date, appropriate applicants will begin a three-stage interview process, after which shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend the final stage of the interview process with appropriate school leadership.
