Job summary

Teach Plus Limited is recruiting an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Mill Hill primary school on a full-time basis, starting ASAP. You will provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 6 pupil with ASD and PDA, helping them access the curriculum and manage anxiety.

The role focuses on building confidence, independence and social-emotional development within a supportive school community, working with the SEN team and class teacher.

Qualifications

• Experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
• Strong subject/curriculum knowledge relevant to the role.
• Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil with ASD and PDA.
• Support the pupil in accessing the Year 6 curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
• Implement appropriate strategies to reduce anxiety and support emotional regulation.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive engagement with learning.
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support team to provide consistent support.
• Monitor the pupil's progress and adapt support strategies according to their individual needs.
